collage no.1
I made 2 collages for the task. One that's optimistic and a fantasy or a sort of dream. one's a cynically pessimistic political statement.
This one is about a beautiful home, surrounded by vast greenery, filled with beautiful women that has guns to shoot for fun, delicious meals a loyal dog and luxurious furniture. It's also gone a step further and if you can see in the top, I've written some stuff in the top right corner which is Texas + Wales = Texales with a little image of the geography merged. It'd a sort of utopian view of the perfect laws, Texas which is very Pro-freedom and Individual freedoms when it comes to owning fire arms etc, and the benefits of wales relating to the lush green mountainous landscapes, NHS and secular government. Then there's more details there from other cultures such as mountains from Patagonia in Chile, Dutch Architecture, German Beer, Croatian Coastlines.

This is the pessimistic view, it's more to do with all that I don't like about 2020, it's probably in that way a more honest portrayal of how I've felt about 2020. Utopias much like my first collage are almost all inherently ridiculous fantasies, hopefully mine is just as bombastic as the rest, just as ridiculous. Here we see a split. the Right is the home, the left is outside the home. we see plague and politics. Outside the home, there are riots. The young burn down cities, violence, utopian communist and heavily leftwing ideologies oppose the state and cause suffering. On the right we see the state looking down on us in the form of Stalin telling us to stay inside, limiting our freedom. there's some messages in there about the US election as well and how I believe the army should get involved, conspiracy theories from start to end of the year represented by that JFK assassination image. Economy slows down, represented by a balloon labeled "you don't buy". Communist motifs are also a representation of China, Chinese influence in other nations and all the damage they've done to the western world this year.
